It began in the mountains.

On a peaceful journey to the Himalayas, we experienced a series of memorable encounters with the senses: fruit preserves with an innate sweetness, pickles made with a blend of strong, earthy spices, and flavors that seemed both unique and comfortably familiar. These jars had a simplicity of design—a result of the mountainous environment, fresh mountain ingredients, and the honing of ancient methods. This memory experience stayed with us.

In 2025, two long-serving colleagues with a common dream, Neema and Nidhi, joined together to share a common goal: to bring the mountain flavor to the plains and, by extension, the rest of India. After several years of research, sampling, learning, and market analysis, Maa Craft Foods was born, with a target market launch in Spring 2026.

Based in the peaceful hills of Himachal Pradesh, at an elevation of 5,873 feet above sea level, Maa Craft Foods was founded on a basic tenet: that food products reach their highest potential when made slowly, authentically, and in sync with nature.

RATIONALE FOR THE MAA CRAFT BRAND

The most comforting zone in the home during upbringing was the kitchen, where Maa carefully mixed spices, dried vegetables in the sun, and lovingly prepared each jar of pickle. The fragrance that wafted from there was more than just sustenance—it was a symbol of protection, care, and a sense of belonging.

We named it Maa Craft because every product is crafted the way a mother cooks — with instinct, honesty, and heart.

This brand is our way of preserving not just recipes, but memories. Every jar carries the warmth of a mother’s hands and the taste of home — inspired by the mountains, and made to be shared everywhere. Maa Craft Foods brings you traditional homemade pickles, chutneys, and authentic recipes crafted with love.
